About Me.

ADPR Connection Headshot 2.jpg

I am a recent graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Art in public relations and a minor in political science. In 2022, I joined the public affairs communications certificate program. The certificate aims to prepare students for a career in public affairs communications by providing them with specialized communications skills focused on public affairs.

I served as a corporate affairs Harold intern for BCW Global. In this role, I worked across seven accounts serving clients and the agency itself. I conducted various in-depth research products for clients within the automotive, tech and food and beverage industries. During the summer, I worked on two separate crisis accounts aiding with research and crafting daily monitoring reports on traditional and social media. I learned to use platforms such as Muck Rack, Cision and Brand Watch during my time at BCW. My duties also included daily monitoring traditional and social media for various accounts, drafting social copy on LinkedIn and Twitter for a large technology client, notetaking for client meetings, and drafting a weekly newsletter summarizing traditional media articles.

I have been a member of the University of Georgia's Public Relations Student Society of America chapter since the fall of 2021. Currently, I serve as the diversity, equity and inclusion committee and outreach head for this organization. My duties include planning a spring DEI-focused panel, managing a weekly newsletter, recruiting committee members and finding outreach projects for the committee. In the fall of 2022, I served on the diversity, equity and inclusion also known as the DEI committee for the Public Relations Student Society of America. In March 2022, I served as a member of the outreach committee. As an outreach committee member, my duties entail planning the senior banquet, facilitating member involvement with the local community, organizing fundraisers and planning networking events.

This past summer, 2023, I participated in the Grady College DC Field Study and Internship program. This summer program allows students to take classes in DC while also interning. Students attend weekly classes with speakers from various careers in DC and complete weekly assignments, preparing them for a career in public affairs communications.

In the summer of 2022, I attended the Cannes Lions Creativity Film Festival through Grady College. I attended workshops, met industry leaders and learned more about creative communications.

I aim to find a full-time job at a public relations agency within their corporate affairs or crisis practice. My experiences at the University of Georgia and BCW have helped me achieve this goal.
